$1,250.00

Day 1 - Paint Pots to Helmet Falls

14.3km

Day 2 - Helmet Falls to Tumbling Creek
The scenery opens up as we hike into alpine meadows beneath the Rockwall. A short side trip to Wolverine Pass offers a distant view of the Bugaboos before we descend to our campsite at Tumbling Creek.
11.6km

Day 3 - Tumbling Pass to Numa Creek
A steady climb brings us to Tumbling Pass, where larch meadows and glacier views make for a relaxed and scenic day. From the pass, we descend into the forested Numa Creek valley for the night.
7.45km

Day 4 - Numa Creek to Floe Lake
Today we reach the high point of the route at Numa Pass, surrounded by rugged peaks. The descent reveals Floe Lake below, a striking alpine lake fed by ice and glaciers, where we camp along the shoreline.
9.5km

Day 5 - Floe Lake to Parking lot
We hike downhill through a recovering burn area, watching how plants and forests return after fire. At the Radium Highway, our shuttle awaits for the drive back to Canmore.
10.5km

Is this for you?

This trip is considered moderate in difficulty. You will be carrying your own clothing and equipment, food for the duration of the trip, and a portion of shared group gear. With thoughtful packing, backpacks usually stay around 16 kg or 35lbs.

Previous backpacking experience is helpful but not essential. You should be reasonably fit and comfortable hiking for several days in a row on rolling and uphill terrain. The trails are mostly well defined and easy to follow.

We move at a consistent, relaxed pace and stay together while hiking. Being well prepared through regular walking or hiking with a loaded pack before the trip will make the experience far more enjoyable.

WAIVER

All participants must complete and sign the Wild n Free Mountain Adventures Release of Liability and Waiver of Claims before taking part in the program. We encourage you to read through the sample waiver ahead of time and reach out to us if you have any questions or concerns.

$1250 per person - includes taxes, ACMG-certified guide, food, communal gear, and all necessary permits.
